Well, I feel the birthdays and Halloween went well. :3 I guess with the exchange last year I'm kind of used to not doing this kind of thing with my family any more; it was just making sure Nic was okay with it.

So it feels kind of pathetic to be missing Melbourne Cup Day most of all. I didn't even really watch it every year; maybe it was just the day off school or something? But I missed out on that last year too and that was pretty okay.

It's been a year since I've seen my family (apart from Nic), my girls now; seven months since I've seen my host family and Tsubasa-kun. I was supposed to fly home today, I should have been starting to flail over exams even though they're not till November... It's weird how things change. I mean, this world's given me good things: Independence sooner than I expected, my awesome girlfriend, other friends, not having to hide my partner... But at the same time, I miss my old life. And I never really know what to say when Nic asks me when we're going home.

Of course, then Pukamon wanted to try it, and there is nothing funnier than watching a baby dolphin trying to swing around a sword that's bigger than he is.

I seem to have turned into one of those exchange student horror stories where the exchangee goes overseas, is fine for a few months, then disappears one day and is never seen again, probably kidnapped by a gaisen or something. Damnit.

Never mind that Olette's boss looks eXACTLY like a younger clone of Ash's Japanese mate, that riot was kinda epic! Sure, Ash broke ANOTHER tripod and it was all like a REALLY BAD flashback to Vamdemon's lot at Luna Park, only without Ash's family around and the Turuiemon was on OUR side, but who cares? I EVOLVED. I got to Gomamon, just like Jou-sempai's partner, and I didn't even have to push Ash off anything high or save him from drowning again!

Anyway, we're kinda staying at Takato-san's bakery for now, because Ash is a COWARD and doesn't want to go back to the Silver Dragon while everyone there's freaking out. Don't get me wrong, Ash is great most of the time, but HE'S SO UNCOOL. Like, take Ryo-san - I mean, OUR Ryo-san's coolness and chuck it into the NEGATIVES. He's THAT uncool.

So, uh, I'm kind of running around the festival taking photos of everything. If you see me getting one of you, give me your D-Comm frequency and I can send it to you later.

If you want to pose for a photo, that'll be five beads or ten if it's at night; if you want me to get photos of you at an event or something (I'm pretty awesome at stage shots), that's ten beads per photo (I'll probably snap a lot and then you can pick and choose). I kind of missed most of the sports competitions, though, because my partner roped me into running and naturally it was an unqualified disaster, but I'll definitely make it to the beauty pageant and the talent competition. Damn, and I love taking sports photos.

Well, that was...embarrassing. And I'm on crutches for another week because apparently I was too stupid to keep off my ankle when I was seven. But at least I'm in Tetha now, so I'm seeing a lot more humans around, which is fantastic after Axoryi. Neon, have you managed to catch the ferry yet or are you still stuck there? If it's the latter, I can give you a ride.

We've managed to find a place to stay - for free, and there's a restaurant on the ground floor! - and a cafe job at Starmon's or something. Devimon, I don't get paid for a while considering I'm still training, but if there's anything I can do to repay you...
